Astralintu Showcases Space Cloud Services Project at Paris Peace Forum

November, 2024 – Astralintu Space Technologies proudly presented the first-year results of its sustainable development initiative at the Paris Peace Forum, highlighting how satellite infrastructure can serve Earth-based communities through real-time, actionable data. This milestone marks a major step forward in Astralintu’s mission to bring the benefits of space to underserved regions, particularly in the Global South.
In collaboration with D-Orbit, Astralintu has developed and tested a custom algorithm deployed on D-Orbit’s ION satellite platform via their Space Cloud Services. When integrated with Astralintu’s LatZero Link Network—a constellation of equatorial ground stations—the system enables low-latency data processing and delivery for decision-making at the local level.
During its first pilot, the project focused on Ecuador’s Amazon region, one of the world’s most ecologically sensitive and diverse ecosystems. The goal was to empower local communities with reliable satellite-derived insights to support environmental protection, risk management, and sustainable resource use.
The successful results demonstrate how Ground Station as a Service (GSaaS) infrastructure can be leveraged not only for commercial missions but also as a tool for climate resilience, biodiversity monitoring, and community empowerment.
Astralintu plans to expand the initiative across more regions in Ecuador and the Global South, making satellite data more accessible, timely, and relevant to those who need it most.
