July, 2025Astralintu Space Technologies has concluded a high-impact mission to Japan, focused on deepening bilateral cooperation between the Ecuadorian and Japanese space ecosystems. The visit was anchored around Astralintu’s participation in SPACETIDE 2025, Asia’s leading conference on space innovation, and included strategic meetings with both institutional and commercial partners.

Among the highlights of the week was a key dialogue with the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) to explore future pathways for commercial, technological, and academic cooperation. Discussions centered on aligning innovation efforts and strengthening Latin America’s participation in global space endeavors. Special appreciation goes to Masami Onoda, Director of International Relations and Research at JAXA, for her warm reception and commitment to international collaboration.

Astralintu also met with NEC Corporation, one of the world’s leading technology integrators in the space and telecommunications sectors. The meeting focused on knowledge exchange and potential collaboration in the design, construction, and maintenance of ground stations—a critical area as Astralintu continues to expand its equatorial GSaaS infrastructure under the Equatorial Stargate vision.

The delegation’s agenda was made possible with the support of H.E. Ambassador César Montaño and the Embassy of Ecuador in Japan, whose engagement was instrumental in enabling access to key industry stakeholders and institutional allies.

This visit reaffirms a growing mutual interest in building stronger ties between Ecuador and Japan across the space sector. With shared values of precision, innovation, and long-term commitment, Astralintu returns from Japan energized to deepen its partnerships and continue building bridges from the heart of the equator.
